Hot Laps at Charlotte (Nov. 2018)

What a way to celebrate our birthdays! I found out that as I've aged, my need-for-speed has declined.  Adam, Brock and I had a couple of memorable days in Charlotte at the NASCAR Hall of Fame and on the track.  Brock made Rusty Wallace really happy by not wrecking one of his cars after losing a rear tire!

Sports 2018

Logan's Little League team, which was coached by Brock, had a winning season.  After winning the Division Championship, they went on to compete for a spot in the "Big Game" at the Southeast Little League Headquarters in Warner Robins.  Second place is not that bad when you are down to the best two teams in the state!  Abi & Connor worked hard winning numerous ribbons & medals in their cross-country competitions.  Luke is showing some signs of having some of that natural athletic ability as he has fun competing.

September in South Dakota

The Sept. weather was perfect for touring in western South Dakota. Soon their winter temperatures will plummet to well below zero.  We enjoyed the 40 to 70 degree temperature range.  After flying to Rapid City, we began a steady pace of touring from the Badlands to Spearfish Canyon, Sturgis, Deadwood, Custer, Mt. Rushmore and Keystone to Crazy Horse.  The scenery was great and included mountain scenes, rock formations, wildlife and historic sites.  The sites were made more pleasant by the fact that the "Summer Crowds" had already headed home.
