Luke Tyler, #4 is born!!

On a very hot August 17th morning at 8:16, Luke was born in Dublin.  We were fortunate to arrive at the hospital in time for his birth, just as we had for our first three grandchildren.  The first faces Luke saw besides Mommy and Daddy were his Big Brother Logan and all four grandparents.  Soon followed Aunts, Uncles and Cousins!  Luke weighed in at 7lb. 15oz. and was 21 3/4 in. long.
Thanking God for all blessings!!

Summer 2014 with the Grandchildren

This summer was filled with lots of beach time and fun things we'll always remember.  These photos only catch a glimpse of all the good times we've had.  As the summer is winding down our focus will drift inland for a few months.  Abi and Logan are getting settled into Big School (Prek-4) and Connor will soon start attending his Play School.  Abi and Logan are getting started with Fall Soccer.
And our little Luke will soon be born!

I'm ready!

Spring has Sprung

Spring 2014 has literally been a whirlwind.  There have been so many things to do and events to attend.  Thank goodness for this blog to help us keep track of all that has happened and to jog our memories of all the great times we've experienced.
As the family grows with our new arrival in August, so will the good times and great memories!

There were tractors to work on

There were playgrounds to build

There were holes to dig

There were pancakes to cook

There were Easter parties to attend

There were baseballs to hit

There were baseballs to catch

There was our first overnight camping trip with Pop Pop

There were kayaks to paddle,  and

In August Logan will become a "Big Brother"!

Baseball, Exile and Apple Pie

There is nothing quite like a trip South in Feb. for some 80 degree temperatures to warm the blood, especially after a winter at home with two ice events!
One highlight of our trip was attending a concert by the group "Exile".  Don't recognize the name?  Look them up and you'll remember all of their songs, the ones they've recorded themselves as well as some #1 hits they have written for other big name acts.  It was really neat to hear these "old guys" singing and playing every note perfectly after 50 years together.
We also attended the first Atlanta Braves game of the 2014 Spring Training Season.  We watched the final innings from underneath our rain ponchos as the game was called off in the middle of the 9th.
An enjoyable trip!

The Heated Pools were Great!
